Description

Cilantro flourishes during Florida’s Spring and Winter Growing Seasons. Grow it during the Summer Growing Season, but only in a container with limited morning sun exposure.

Cilantro grows best during the Fall/Winter Growing Season because too much sun exposure and high temperature can cause the plant to flower and go to seed. This is the reason that it is so important to limit Cilantro’s Sun Exposure during the Spring and Summer Growing Season’s.

North Florida: Grow Cilantro in Full Sun from November through March. Limited morning sun exposure is acceptable for the rest of the year. This is an herb that we recommend growing in a container, so that it can be moved out of the sun if the exposure becomes too intense.

Central Florida: Grow Cilantro in Full Sun (or almost Full Sun) from November through March. Limited morning sun exposure is acceptable for the rest of the year. This is an herb that we recommend growing in a container, so that it can be moved out of the sun if the exposure becomes too intense.

South Florida: Grow Cilantro in Full Sun (or almost Full Sun) from November through March. Limited morning sun exposure is acceptable for the rest of the year. This is an herb that we recommend growing in a container, so that it can be moved out of the sun if the exposure becomes too intense.

Grown in the ground or in a container, the sunshine gardener will find this delicious herb to grow during the right season.
