Plant seeds no deeper than 1/4″. Look for germination within 7 to 14 days.
Collards are an old Florida favorite. It is not only a hardy plant, surviving extreme heat and cold, but begin harvesting within 2 months of planting. Never harvest any more than 1/3 of the plant at any given time. Harvest outside leaves first, then work in toward the center.
Begin sewing seeds between September and November, enjoy great greens through the Holiday season!
