Description

Dill is an essential plant to grow in the Florida Herb Garden. It is recommended to grow Dill in a container or raised garden. Dill is cold weather tolerant, surviving well down to 25 degrees! This means that overwhelmingly, Dill can be successfully grown throughout all of the cooler months in the Sunshine State.

Sow seeds no deeper than 1/4″. Germination 14-21 days. Can be grown during the Florida Winter and Spring growing seasons.

North Florida: Easily grow Dill during the Fall/Winter & Spring Growing Seasons. Grow Dill from September through May. Dill can tolerate full sun from November through March, Partial Sun, preferably Morning Sun September through October and April through May. Continue growing Dill during the Summer Growing Season in a container garden (Pot or Earth box), but only exposed to limited morning sun.

Central Florida: Easily grow Dill during the Fall/Winter & Spring Growing Seasons. Grow Dill from September through May. Dill can tolerate full sun from November through March, Partial Sun, preferably Morning Sun September through October and April through May. Continue growing Dill during the Summer Growing Season in a container garden (Pot or Earth box), but only exposed to limited morning sun.

South Florida: Easily grow Dill during the Fall/Winter & Spring Growing Seasons. Grow Dill from September through May. Dill can tolerate full sun from November through March, Partial Sun, preferably Morning Sun September through October and April through May. Container gardening is highly encouraged because the plant can be moved in and out of the sun as needed.
