Description
This is a “spineless” variety of Okra, meaning that it tends to produce calyxes that are large, nice, and tender.
Okra prefers warm weather, warm soil, and sun. This combination makes it a perfect plant for the Florida Garden. It is very heat tolerant, but cold intolerant. Okra Plants tend to struggle when temperatures drop below 50 degrees.
To help increase germination rate, soak seeds in a moist paper towel for 4-6 hours before planting. Plant seeds no deeper than 1/2″. Germination 10-25 Days.
Harvest Okra shortly after flowers have fallen for most tender pods.
