Description

Another closely guarded secret of old Florida; The Seminole Pumpkin. Give the vine plenty of room to run, it will take over the yard if allowed! Be sure to trim the vine back and direct it to manage growth. Originally grown by the Native Americans that made Florida their home, they would run the vine up a tree and the pumpkins would hang from the tree limbs like fruit. Includes 20+ Seeds.

Sow Seeds no deeper than 1/2″ after the threat of frost has passed. When Temperatures drop below 50 degrees, plants become stressed, plants do not survive frost/freezes.

These were super fun to grow. The pumpkins are very good ate roasted, in a pie and soup. I have a small garden space and only planted a few plants. They “Walked” around my yard producing pumpkins. When a pest would get one section it would have already rooted in another space. If you don’t have a lot of space I wouldn’t recommend these unless you are ok with them moving around. They are easy to grow though.
