Description
Common Milkweed is one of the Milk Weed varieties native to Florida. Also known as, “Butterfly Weed”, it is truly a favorite among butterflies and other pollinators. It produces beautiful, small pink flowers that are like magnets to pollinators, especially butterflies.
Butterfly Weed [Common Milkweed] is NOT EDIBLE. Make sure to keep this plant away from pets and children. This being the case, we recommend growing it in a container, so that it is kept away from children and pets.
North Florida: Start seeds between April and September. Remember, Milk Weed is a Florida Native, so it is naturally acclimated to our climate. Grows well in Full to Partial Sun.
Central Florida: Start seeds between March and October. Remember, Milk Weed is a Florida Native, so it is naturally acclimated to our climate. Grows well in Full to Partial Sun.
