Description
Excellent Kale Variety to grow in the Fall/Winter and Spring throughout the Sunshine State! Plant comes potted in a 3″ x 3″ Coconut Husk Pot.
Ethiopian Kale is an excellent heirloom variety known as one if the most heat/humidity tolerant kales in the world. Nutrient-dense, it is known as a “superfood”, as are most brassica veggies.
Originally native to East Africa, Ethiopian Kale is acclimated to a similar “swinging climate”, as what we have in the Sunshine State. One week it can be humid with a high in the 90’s, then the next week a cold front can move though, lowing temperatures into the 60’s. Ethiopian Kale is very well suited to deal with these varying temperatures.
Plant anytime during the Fall/Winter and Spring growing seasons. As always morning sun is preferable during the early Fall/Winter and the late Spring Seasons. Otherwise full sun is tolerable.
Ethiopian Kale also grows well in containers.
