The Henderson Lima Bean is an old heat-tolerant Lima Bean. The plant does best when grown on a trellis or near a structure that it can “grab on to”.  As a legume, Henderson Lima Beans are a nitrogen-fixing crop that helps to add nitrogen back to the soil. If fertilizing, fertilize at half (or less) the normal rate.

Full sun is recommended during the Spring Growing Season and partial sun during the Summer Growing Season (morning sun is preferable).
