*North and North Central Florida, we recommend growing your Thai Basil in Containers to make it easier to bring them in or cover them during freezes. South and South Central Florida, grow your Everglades Tomatoes in the ground or in a container.
Thai Basil is also known as Holy Trinity Basil, as well as, Tulsi. Siam Queen variety.
Thai Basil is an essential ingredient in much of Southeast Asia’s Cuisine. Impossible to find in the grocery store, Thai Basil’s presence in your garden will be a true blessing.
An excellent Herb to grow for Floridians, it can be grown year-round in the ground or a container. We recommend growing Thai Basil in a container because it can be moved around, to better cope with the changing intensity of the sun. If it is grown in a container, make sure that it is watered regularly.
Thai Basil does well in full sun during the Winter Growing Season and some of the Spring Growing Season. Partial Sun, specifically morning sun is recommended during the Summer Growing Season.
