Chantenay Carrots (Red Core) [80+ Seeds]

Description

Chantenay is an heirloom carrot variety that thrives in the Sunshine State. Chantenay produces a beautiful carrot that contains an orange-red core. The outside of the carrot is the usual orange, but the interior core glows a brilliant orange-red color. 

Chantenay is a stump vairety, meaning that it produces thicker carrots.

Sow seeds no deeper than 1/4″. Seeds may be slow to germinate, so be patient with them. Expect germination within 7 to 20 days.

Carrots can be grown in the ground or in containers, make sure that soil is kept moist. If grown in a container, make sure to keep the plant well-watered. Grow in partial sun and during the Fall/Winter and Spring growing seasons.
