North Florida and Central Florida: Chives will thrive in your raised bed or garden August through May. Morning sun is recommended during the early Fall and late Spring months (August through November and March through May). During the cooler months, where the days are shorter (December through Februrary), full sun is recommended. Grow Chives year-round in pots and containers. Summer heat can be harsh on Chives, so direct sun exposure must be limited.
