Description

Important Information:
Your plant will be mailed within two days of your order being placed. You will receive an email that contains the USPS Tracking Code. Please closely follow the tracking information, to know exactly when to expect the plant’s arrival. As soon as the plant arrives, immediately open it, and water it well. We give the plant a very thorough soaking prior to shipping, so your plant should arrive in good shape. If the leaves may appear droopy upon arrival, a good watering will help them “perk up” after a couple of hours.

Plant comes snuggly packed in it’s own 12″ x 3″ x 3″ box.

Growing Instructions:

During the Spring Growing Season, grow these tomato plants in the Full Sun. When Spring gives way to Summer, transition Sun Exposure to partial Morning Sun. Begin to transition these Tomato Plants to partial, Morning Sun between the end of April and during the month of May.

Make sure to keep your plants well-watered, especially after planting.

Growing in Containers: These Tomato Plants will flourish in your traditional ground garden, but remember, Tomatoes grow EXCEPTIONALLY WELL in containers (pots, Earth Boxes, etc.). If you choose to grow them in a container, make sure that your container has holes in the bottom to ensure proper drainage. As far as the soil for the container, any potting soil will work.

Growing in the Ground: One of the most important factors to keep in mind when planting is the sun! Make sure to be mindful of the planting location and what sort of sun exposure it receives. Also consider how much sun the location will receive as the Summer approaches.

Information About Each Variety:

Floradade: Floradade Tomatoes were naturally bred by the University of Florida in 1976 (not by GMO, but by cross-pollination). These tomatoes are very hardy, producing many 5-7 ounce tomatoes. Grown anywhere in the state, you’ll find that this determinate tomato bush will be high-yielding and delicious.

Marglobe: Marglobe Tomatoes weigh on average between 7 and 10 ounces. The Marglobe Tomato is a Natural Hybrid (not by GMO, but by cross-pollination), first bred in the 1920’s by crossing the Marvel and Globe tomato varieties. The result was a hearty, Florida-Friendly Tomato that would go on to become a staple for the Florida Tomato Grower.

San Marzano: San Marzano is a special heirloom variety of Plum Tomato that comes from Naples, Italy. Delicious whether eaten fresh or incorporated into your favorite dish, this heirloom variety is highly sought after by gourmet chefs. Their sweet flavor, low acidity, and easy-peeling skin make them one of the most highly-prized tomato varieties in the world.
